I bought my house in 2015 after the end of my marriage. I bought a newer house (built in 2011) so I could avoid some of the pitfalls of an older house. Consider my annoyance when I discovered mold in my garage. Home inspections do not cover the inspection of the garage, but what could possibly go wrong, right? Wrong, within the year I saw some black spots. I did not know what to do and contacted my realtor to see what he would recommend. He was as shocked as I was, but did not have any recommendation. I had a friend come by to look at it, but he thought it was not venting properly, but really had no other suggestion.

Finding a contractor to come look at the issue was a struggle because I did not know the first thing on where to look and the few companies I did contact would not touch it. Being a single girl I was trying to ensure I did not take advantage of since I did not truly understand why it had started.

Meeting in person solidified my confidence in their abilities to fix the problem.  I was nervous to get the quote, but so happy when I was told that Home Improvement Projects understood the full scope of the problem, but could re mediate the problem and prevent it from happening again.
